Worried if your organisation takes its corporate social responsibility seriously? Well…you can relax now.
As confirmed from a very reliable source, the CBN governor Mr. Godwin Emefiele received all Nigerian commercial banks’ CEOs, NDIC and other private stakeholders today 30th March 2020 in a closed-door meeting.

According to our source, this is to ensure that all banks play an all-inclusive, organised and effective role in the fight against Coronavirus in Nigeria. Nigerian banks donate to support fight against deadly pandemic, COVID-19.
This has come off the back of a perceived uneven, disorganised and replicative nature of donations that has left other dire areas unattended to in the past weeks.
A committee was appointed, according to reports. Bank CEOs decided to donate towards fighting the Coronavirus pandemic to the Federal purse, according to their respective tiers.
Below are the donation patterns:
Tier 1 banks – N500 million each
Tier 2 banks – N250 million each
Tier 3 banks – N100 million each
Newly licensed banks, under a 6-month operation period – N50 million each
Other donations by the CBN, NDIC and other financial institutions to follow too.
Some banks have also made huge donations, asides this. See
